Discovering My Butt Muscle When Squatting

The only "self testing" I really do is twenty deep squats (no weights) every now and then. I did them a few minutes ago for the first time in a few weeks. Near the end I started to feel like something was touching my butt and even put my hand behind myself to see if there was something there. The I realized it was my butt muscle doing something. I could still do the squats but the muscle felt sort of numb. I guess it was about to go into a cramp. Anyone with a similar experience.

I haven't, but if I attempted to do 20 deep squats right now I probably would. Sounds within the range of normal for BFS. The good thing is, you obviously have the strength to complete a large set of squats.

Thanks for the responses. I am not an avid exerciser by any means so I have a hard time knowing what is a real workout for a muscle and what is something a muscle should be able to do without fatigue. I had a typical day of bad twitching especially along the back of my left leg and so I keep thinking any fatigue must be due to some unidentified neuromuscular syndrome which I no doubt have. I have also been looking back at old research and really think my symptoms fit the neuromyotonia (sp?) category more than anything else. This dx is also thought to be autoimmune and poorly understood. My symptoms are just so profound (although still not noticeable to anyone except an expert looking for them) and bodywide. I think the passage of time and finding the right combination of meds is my best hope for peace. I do still hold out a little hope for a total recovery, but good meds and stable functioning will also be considered a victory.Krackersones

Jro - You really need to get acquainted with the positive aspects of your body. Balance things out a bit....getting tired from exercise is a GOOD THING not a BAD THING. Bodies are amazing machines......would you trade your car in just because it made a squeaky-squeaky-squeak? Of course not. Unfortunately we are much more complex than cars so maybe this analogy sucks. However butt cramps or not, working those muscle is a good thing - keeps them from drooping.....Must be time for another vacation from the board as lately so much focus on what's wrong is bumming me out.
