Desperate - Doxycycline - Pain & Fasciculations

Hi! I've taken doxycycline for 17days now and my pain and fasciculations are worse than ever. I feel desperate, the pain is unbearable. in my foot/thigh. do you think it's because of the antibiotics? experiences? I've not had such bad pain in seven mounths and it's getting worse and worse, it's constant. I'm on antib "just to see I don't have Lyme" as the doctor said. all standard tests for Lyme is negative. hugs

sounds like it could be a herx reaction....might indicate lyme. FYI, I've been an minocycline for over 50 days now for an infection in my leg without any increase in fascics.

have been thinking about herxheimers myself but none of the standard tests indicate lyme and even the doctor at the lyme senter doubt I have Lyme, low CD57 was not alone enough.. and I've asked several doctors if a herxheimers reaction is actually something that happens to lyme patients taking antib. they had never heard about that phenomena.. so I wonder if that is something certain lyme doctors that not work in the official system just tell their patients to keep them in expensive treatment...is there any serious documentation about herxheimers in lyme patients? i mean in official guidelines f.eks....? have others experiences with antib?
