Dent on Lower Lip: Causes?

I notice a few days ago there is a dent on my bottom lip in the center... I don't think it was there before. What could have caused this? Does anyone else have a dent on lower lip? My lips have been twitching too so I'm confused. I am only 35! I think that is too young for my lips to be losing tissue like this.

Well, there is no muscle there, so you know it can't be atrophy. My guess is, it is something that has always been there, but you are hyperfocusing on it. The lips, like other soft tissue, can be a site for scar tissue, if you've bumped or bitten your lip, perhaps there is now a small indentation. I have a bump on my upper lip which could make the rest of the lip appear "dented." And, in answer to your original question. You ARE aging. LOL. Sorry to disappoint you, but it certainly beats the alternative. ) Blessings, Sue

thanks for the reply. So the lips have no muscles right? Ok good I was getting worried.I noticed something while in the shower today. My left thigh is smaller than my right thigh... is this normal or should I ask the doctor?
