Dealing with Pain on One Side

Hi Kate-

Ya know I had twitching probably just for the first few weeks and now it's only pain with very little twitching, if any. I have had all this since 10-10-06 and have mainly been dealing with pain, numbness, and burning on my right side. Funny how when it's localized to one side or one area you seem to focus on it more. I think I'm in the minority here because I have never freaked out and thought something horrible. It's a pain in the butt but I know that with all of the wonderful people on this board I will continue to deal with this speed bump in my life. Think about all the stress you're causing your body to go through right now. Stress and anxiety can only do more harm. Educate yourself properly, seek support, find out how to manage a few of the symptoms if possible and then continue living.

Best wishes and I hope you find some peace.

Just a thought, A year ago I blew out a disc in my neck. This caused major pain, burning and numbness in my left arm. I now have a steel plate in my neck but am doing well as far as that goes. This did not affect the twitching whatsoever.

Hi
Please don't panick', BFS/PNHE can give nerve pain. Dr Heart of the Liverpool walton clinic is doing a study into bfs and pain. He treats people who have pain with anticonvusant meds. Also you could have something simple like RSI, carpel tunel or a back problem. What you describe does not sound like the nasty stuff!
your anxiety will feed this condition (BFS) so please thry to chill, although this is not easy you must calm down. Always seek medical advice on any issue but i'm sure you will be fine.

Good luck

Chris
