Dealing With Finger Twitching

Totally going through something similar. Actually, almost exactly. With the exception of the thumb pad, my fingers have never twitched. Then a couple months ago my right index finger started up, and occasionally I get my left middle and ring fingers going. They jump and move around when it happens.

Just when I was at the point of thinking "twitching doesn't bother me anymore--other symptoms like pain, paresthesia and weakness do, but twitching? whatever" this happens, and twitching bugs me again.

This definitely takes second place as most annoying twitch next to facial twitches. If it's any consolation, I don't think finger twitches are related to PD, especially if you've been twitching other places too.

Thanks, that does help to hear. The strange thing is that it just keeps getting worse today. I'm really in a state of panic here!! Now all my fingers on my right hand are moving around. It's like the whole hand is spasming. The ring finger goes constantly and then the others will do it occasionally. It's by far the worst twitching I've ever had. I don't usually freak out so badly anymore, but I feel really close to having a panic attack. I hate this!

Don't have a panic attack!
Finger twitching is extremely common for BFS. My fingers, and hands, have been twitching all morning.

Shannon,

Don' panic. I know easier said than done. I don't get the twitches in hands, but I get a lot of calf twitches which are extremely annoying. Try not to focus on them.

Do you work at the computer, maybe that is aggravating it. You are in the health care world, neuroscience...When you start panicing, go back to all your knowledge and try to refocus...You can always resort to a neuro friend at the last minute.

I know this is very scarey..I think it is the unknown of this condition, which makes it unbelievable, but if you are on the verge of panic, that could be making it a lot worst.
