Days of Uncontrollable Twitching: Anyone Else?

Last week I had several days of almost symptom free existence.....then, an upsetting situation and I've never had it so bad for days now. Twitches EVERYWHERE, hands, arms, torso, feet, legs, face. Just moving around from place to place. It seems to be getting worse.
I don't fear ALS anymore, but can't help worrying about SOMETHING else. Does anyone else have this?

If your twitching is back after an upsetting situation that it's obvious for me that your problems are stress related. You can forget about neurological diseases and start to look for psychological help.

Good luck

I have only had two long periods of massive twitching episodes in my entire life. Both the first episode was 12 years ago along with panic attacks and this episode I have now and have had since January started with panic attacks again. I was symptom free for 12 years or at least that I noticed.

I still fear ALS though. I didn't have the net to scare me 12 years ago like I did in January when they came back.

dont

I'm sure that you don't have ALS. I read many stories of people with ALS on the net. Your story is totally different.

Your twitching is stress releted - for me it's obvious and I don't know why you wasting your time thinking about ALS. If you search "twitching" on google you will find a few medical encyclopedias and you can read that stress is a very common trigger of muscle twitching. That's your case.

Best wishes

Can you point me to those sites that talk about it being related to stress. I don't want to google twitch because ALS sites will come up too. I have not visited one for four weeks now.

Thanks , Karen

Thanks, Pole. I'm hoping you're right. My only doubts along those lines are that the twitching references on anxiety pages I've read don't seem to contemplate the degree/frequency of twitching I've been having. Also, I haven't had any OTHER symptoms of anxiety as they've been described on those web pages.
Thanks again, and I sure hope you're right.
I've been twitching for eight months, and it's now at a level both in locations and frequency that is far beyond anything I've experienced before.
