David, Mayo Clinic Appt Results?

I was just wondering how your appt at the Mayo Clinic went?
I thought of you because I was referred to a neuromuscular specialist in March, but they have bumped the appt up to next week. I'm a little scared/excited and ready to get another opinion. I'd love your input.

How did your appointment go today? I hope all went well. I can relate to the increased pain and cramping. My neurologist did not recommend anything to take that would help with the symptoms. I asked about taking magnesium supplements and he said they won't help and they won't hurt. I also asked about drinking tonic water for the qunine for cramps and he basically said the same thing.
I'm not exactly sure what the abnormalities were on my EMG. Honestly, it has me some what worried. All I know is that he said they could have been caused by many things and he wasn't concerned about me having a MND. I'm still waiting for the written report and plan to discuss it further with my Family Practice doc next week. I was really hoping for a clean EMG so I could really put my mind at ease. But now I'm still having to fight my negative thoughts which is sometimes difficult to do.
I hope that your tests were normal so you can have confidence that it is not ALS/MND.
It is amazing how I took my good health for granted before all of this started. I really hope that some day I can put this behind me. Talk to you later.
