CT Scan Worries: Abdominal Pain

I've been suffering from back pain, leg pain and abdominal pain. It's on my leftside. It's been there since about Nov. and comes and goes. Since Feb. I've noticed it has coming about more often. I went to my doctor's office and he wants to do an abdominal CT scan to check for kidney stones. I don't want to do this because I've had 2 prior CT scan of the abdomen 4 years ago. I'm scared about the radiation exposure, but yet I'm scared I have some type of cancer/growth/lymphoma, etc.. and if I don't it I'll regret that I didn't have this test. Just looking for someone(s) opinion. I've always been scared this twitching stuff is related to cancer- even more so then ALS or MS. Crazy- huh? Your thoughts would be very much apprecicated.

By the way... I've been getting a burning sensation in my leg/buttock area.

A CT does have some radiation but it's results and findings will far outweigh the negative. Lower left quadrant pain on and off can be due to IBS, if female an ovarian cyst...lots of things that are not a big problem. I really wouldn't worry about the cancer thing, there are a lot of other signs and symptoms for that. I know that the anxiety with all of this is terrible and I just wanted to let you know ...it's ok. One of my favorite quotes, which has been a big help to me lately...."to eliminate fear, worry and anxiety, I must live in the present and let go and let God. Good luck on your test.
