Cramping Underwater While Sailboat Maintenance

I never get a foot cramp during normal walking, or bicycling or playing tennis for that matter....but for some reason when underwater for 30 minutes or more (via scuba gear of course) I will get a cramp in one foot, then another. Not wearing "fins" either...just leisurely moving around underwater while cleaning my sailboat bottom. Possibly same thing might happen when swimming on surface but I haven't done much of that in a while. I wonder if it's due to some muscles coming into use that I don't normally use ? This of course never happened before BFS.

Oh yeah, swimming is a big red hazard flag for me. I will have a hamstring or a calf or a side or a foot cramp within 5 minutes, guaranteed. I think it's because you use different motions in the water than you would have on land.

I just experienced that last week. My foot cramped up and I had water shoes on! My legs hurt a whole lot while swimming. Also, ever since my week at the beach I have been getting a lot of pain in hamstrings, calves, and ankles.
