Constant Twitching: Is This Normal?

I thought I had a flare-up a few weeks ago, but now thngs have gotten much worse. I am twitching in my left thigh and right posterior calf constantly. My right calf has not stopped since yesterday and I am not exaggerating.

I am very cocnerned. Before the twitches seemed to migrate, but lately they seem to have settled in particular spots. Is this normal to be so relentless and in the same spots????

I just about 4 months into this....

These are just new "hotspots"....rest assured that this is totally normal.

I've had many hotspots where my twitches lasted 24/7 for weeks. My main spots were my calves, quad muscle (just above the knee) and the spot between my left thumb and forefinger.

It took a few weeks, but each spot subsided. This is so common with BFS that in a strange way, you should feel comforted by having hotspots. Don't let them stress you out--they are nothing to fear and by no means do they indicate something 'else' going on in your body.

There are people on this board who've had calf twitches 24/7 for years---very annoying, I'm sure, but also very benign.

No worries okay!

Thanks Amy. Just when I think that things are settling down and I am feeling better, it seems like new symptoms appear or things get worse again.

Arghhhhhhh....
