Constant Twitching: BFS Fear?

Hi Guys,Have been twitching non-stop for about a month. I have a question for you though, I can handle the twitching and am pretty certain that it is BFS....What scares me though is my hands and the back of my legs. 1. My fingers (more left than right) seem to have minor "movements" all the time when they are at rest or when I am holding a book or glass of water and such. It seems that I get these minor gripping and releasing motions that seem to flow from one finger to the other. Nothing drastic mind you just very small ones. And my fingers are NOT still when I hold my hands up, it seems they are constantly shaking or doing the electric shock tihng. It seems to me that these "feel" different than normal twitches which I get in my palm and such that move the finger around or cause my thumb to contract a little. Anyone else have this? I also find it difficult to hold a book with my hands as they do the electric shock thing as well as get achey and weak pretty quickly.2. The backs of my legs, anyone get the twitches that actually feel like you are contracting a muscle in the back of your leg. I mean not the pop ones, but this is a full blown contraction of a minor muscle and it's not a muscle that I can even contract on it's own with out contracting the entire back of my leg. Anyone else get this? Please respond, I'm having a very difficult day! :(

hi-- i am sorry to hear you are having a bad day-- it is good that you turned to the site for help. i am not exactly sure i get the same things as you do but i will say that i get weird stuff in my hands -- sometimes it causes my fingers to move around -- sometimes i can just see the twitch-- sometimes they dont feel quite right....as far as the contracting, i havent had that specifically but i have had a crampy tight feeling in my shins.... i wish we all know for sure what each other was describing... but i have read about people having what they desribe as a muscle contracting...just try to relax........i wish i could practice what i preach -- but i know that the anxiety cycle of this is pretty hard to cope with -- good luck --

I get the same things in my legs--it feels like a muscle is "sucking" in and then releasing. I also get this in my hands. Hope that helps!!!Sue

Your hand symptoms are very similar to mine, all in my left, none in my right. My entire hand and arm tremored severly last night, I just watched it in amazement.

I get the hand thing but it is sporadic (like the Thing in the Adam's Family - not a major character). The leg cramps are pretty constant and sometimes feel compressed, and yes, like you, start in one muscle strand that can make the whole area hurt. Sometimes it is in the hamstring area but right now for me it is the side thigh (IT band). Increasing the circulation will help it to calm down (gentle exercise) but that may not 'fix it' - just give you a breather. Don't worry - neither are uncommon for most here and the cramps & fascics will eventually move but timing is different for each person. On the upside - it's the weekend. TGIF.
