Constant Pulse on Outside Edge of Foot

I just noticed (I try not to..but oh well) a new fasic. Does anyone have a constant (like a pulse..but not ) right on the outside edge of the foot...about an inch or so down the side from the small toe? I just have had that added to my calf repetoire.
Anyone share that experience?
Thanks.
Mark

EXACT same place.

It went wild for a few months last summer, went away, and now it is back.

My left foot is the one that does this.

14 mos twitching and still counting!

Ginny,

Yea it sounds like we have the same deal. Mine's on my right foot. It's strange. I thought it was my pulse but then realized "hey..the pulse isn't suposed to be there"
What an education we're getting huh?!

I get that, how about the crawly feeling on the bottom of your feet? It really does feel like worms, but yet when I touch it I can't feel anything!!!I have had the buzzing now it buzzes and crawls, I know my doc said don't worry, but I am going nutty!!!

I know all these feeling and "symptoms" are disconcerting but honestly...after I did many searches and saw what people are experiencing you are totally in the norm.
I'm not experiencing the exact feelings that you described on the bottom of your feet but I have my own flavors of calf action.
I think we all have powerful and vivid imaginations. It's been proven that when we harness our own power we can impact the world...not to mention our own health!!
We're healthy. Relaxation exercises through medition yoga and/or whatever really help!
I didn't mean to get new age-y here but..there's a lot of truth in it.
Great health in body and mind to all of us!

Mark,

I get it 24/7 in my calves, too. Once in a great while, a thump or two in my quads, my always calves.

Do yours look like little pokes (sort of an in/out motion?)

What you said about mind/body is so true. That is why I run. I can't think about anything else except taking my next breath and pushing myself up that hill!

But - ALAS! The exercise increases twitching.

*sigh* just can't win! ;)

Ginny,

You know I'm so glad you run!! It's great for your mind and body! I do that too. Wouldn't trade it for anything. As a matter of fact I'm getting ready to do it now. First nice day here in about a week. Blue sky, warm - the park is calling.
I know it's easy to say but don't pay any mind to the twitches (if they happen) afterwards. That happens to everyone...in my experience.
Yes mine also look like little pokes - yea like in in/out motion.

Just as an aside. Because you run I have to ask you. Do you drink anything to replenish your electrolytes? I just started drinking "Smart Water" yesterday. Maybe it's in my mind (or my calves are tight) but I didn't notice as much twitching last night....Knocking on wood. They're there but maybe a notch down in severity. I don't know. I'll keep you posted. But definitly replenish. It's important anyway.

Please know that you're healthy and vibrant Ginny. We're blessed that we are.

I always eat a 1/2 of a banana after short runs, with plenty of water.

During long runs (6 miles or more) I drink water during the run, Gatorade after. If they are really long runs (like this weekend I'll be doing 9-10 on Saturday) I take along "GU" (or goo, as I like to call it). Those gel packets that have carbs/electrolytes in them and will ususally eat one of those during the run.

The hotter it gets, the more I replace.

Mark, can you see your leg fascis, by the way?

Ginny

Yea I see 'em. Are yours' in both your calves? More in 1 than the other? Are there times when you don't notice them? My left calf is the most "talkative"
My neuro suggested that it could be from a nerve irratation in the back. An MRI wouldn't really pick that up. It's not detailed enough.

You inspired me. i'm really7 going out for my run NOW

Thanks Ginny
Mark
