Constant Leg Twitching - Help!

Please guys, tell me this happened to you to.I began having mild random twitches all over the body more than a week ago. They appeared somewhere, then disappeared, then moved somewhere else. But now, my left leg has been twitching constantly for more than 3 days. I dont feel it when I walk, but as soon as I sit down, it goes off like crazy, mostly in and around calves, but also in foot, toes and sometimes thigh. Similar twitches sometimes reappear in the other leg or hands, mostly when Im tired, but they always go away eventually, while the left leg just wont stop! I dont seem to have any weakness or atrophy, and most of the twitches seem like typical BFS, but that stupid 24/7 leg is driving me crazy!! :(

hi maialen, sounds like my feet nonstop 24/7 it sounds perfectly normal for bfs...please dont get anxious about it, its nothing to worry about.... :D)

maialan,That's how BFS started for me. It was onlyl in one leg and then a month later I noticed it in the other leg and then all over. But like the others have said, its nothing to worry about.-Matt

My twitching is primarily right sided, especially down in my legs. I get occasional twitching in my left leg but the vast majority are in the right leg. (From foot to thigh) There are several of us who seem to have a BFS "dominant" side. Frances

Huge thanks for the reassurance, everyone. Ive had a terrible day, now I can at least go to bed in peace, my poor leg has had enough strength test for today :) (I hope it wont punish me by twitching for a year! :) )

I hope it doesn't twitch for a year too, but mine has been twitching for nearly 10 months every single day and I'm still alive and well, better than ever. (PS: Strength testing will give you amazing calves and quads, but it will also increase your twitches. :D) )Frances

The fact that you had twitching all over your body, and now experience 24/7 in one limb tells the story. ALS cannot work like that so stop strength testing your poor leg. BFS all the way.
