Confirming Fasciculations with Chiari Malformation

This site confirms fasciculations associated with Chiari malformation. "The most common sign on examination is hyperreflexia of the lower limbs, hyporeflexia of the upper extremities, weakness of the hands and arms with fasciculation and muscle atrophy."Source: Another site mentions age of onset. "The patient study included 126 patients with Chiari Malformations only, and 238 Chiari patients with a syrinx. There was a 3 to 1 preference female over male. Many had lifelong complaints, but the age of onset was defined as the age when the patient first sought medical attention. The mean age was 25 years. This is very interesting! I wonder how many BFSers could have this and are not aware.I've sent some more pics via e-mail to J from my brain MRI on the other BFS site, to see if she could see a Chiari, pending response, but I am posting them here too in case anyone else can comment. She said she thinks she sees it from one of my cervical MRI pics. I tried joining a CM site to ask them, but they denied me access because I have not been diagnosed. There were so many pictures on the brain MRI CD, I tried to go to the clearest ones, from mainly side pictures.

I e-mailed the radiologist who performed/interpreted my brain MRI if he agrees that there is a chiari malformation. He agreed, there is a slight chiari malformation, but it is not a "manifest" or pinching my spinal cord. Funny how my report did not mention it at all. Hmmm?
