Confirming ALS or BFS Diagnosis

BFS!!!!!. After an hour of being poked to death the ALS Neuromuscular specialist told me I had BFS. I got to ask him some questions afterwards that will will just re confirm what others Neuro's have stated here in the past and here was his response.1. Most of all his ALS patients did not notice anything was wrong and they were complaining of their foot just kept dropping. He had to show them their fasics and of all his cases it often started with a foot drop2. Typically the muscles will show PSW and Fibs months before any weakness is in that muscle so the EMG will definitely pick it up before you knew there was a problem.3. Some people are just more twitchier than others and if you hadn't looked it up on Dr. Google, I wouldn't be sticking you with needles all over your bodyI want to thank those of you have had been patient with me these past few weeks and I hope I can put this crap behind me!

congrats!!!! :D) wow, they spent an hour sticking needles in you! you lucky man (or woman?) you! but I did also mean that seriously....you were checked out thoroughly then. So please keep that in mind, they checked you out GOOD! My EMG took 5 minutes, once in the left arm, once in the left leg.

You are very fortunate to have a full exam and good results. You should have no reason to worry. Wish my results would have been clearer. I just have to keep hoping!
