I thought I'd give a quick update....I have tested positive for Hashimoto's Disease. It's an autoimmune disease. My body is building up antibodies that are attacking my thyroid. I also have a few tiny nodules on my thyroid. They are too small to even test and my doctor said that multiple almost always means benign. On top of all this, I am anemic and my Vit D levels are very low. So, I am now taking tyroid pills, Vit D, Calcium, Magnesium, and Iron. This explains so much! (muscle fatigue, cramps, mental fog, hoarseness, hair loss, twitching, general fatigue, etc)I've only been on meds for 2 weeks. I am not miraculously better. One thing that Idid notcie right way though...I just went through my first cycle (period) since started all these meds/supplements. Ever since all this crap started, my twitching goes haywire (like...non-stop) during my period. This month, I twitched twice the entire time. WooHoo!I am still bothered by the hoarseness and tightness in my throat (worse when I lie down). It is listed as a symptom of hashimoto's but it still bothers me. I'm going to call my doctor and ask about it again. Hopefully, as all my levels perk up, I will get better.Take care...Jess

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to know you got some knowledge of what is happening in your body so you can take control of it. Keep us posted on your continued recovery.Krackersones
