Comparing EMG Reports

Hey Guys-Long time twitcher..yada yada =)I am going to see a 2nd nero after seeing a muscular specialist on 11/06 for 1 clean emg then 2 other emg's since then with my most recent on 01/08/2008. All have been clean, however I am looking at something that is worrying me a little. Being the inquisitive person I am I went over my first, second and third EMG reports. All my EMGS were COMPLETELY clear with NO fibs, Fascis, or PSW's which is GREAT. HOWEVER! I am looking at my NCV results and one of the measures they look at are the "Motor Nerve Latency". In my right arm (which is where 2 of the EMGS were focused because of symptoms and twitching" Here is what they sayTest 11/06Median latency at wrist3.4MSTest 02/07Median latency at wrist3.7MSTest 01/08Median latency at wrist4.3MSSo hmmmm. This is the response of my MOTOR nerves that are slowing. In my ulnar nerve they have slowed also. Here is the summary word for word:Nerve conduction studies showed focal conduction block of the right ulnar motor response at the elbow and BORDERLINE PROLONGED DISTAL LATENCIES DIFFUSELY (um thats what I am worried about) EMG WAS NORMAL:Interpretation:There is electrophysical evidence of a mild right ulnar neuropathy at the elbow. The remaining findings are minimal and likely due to the cool temprature of the limb at the time of the testing. But a very mild right median neuropathy at the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome) cannot be completly ruled out. there is NO electrophsiologic evidense of a superimposed, more widespread neurogenic or myopathic process affecting the right upper limb. Ok I can go with the slowed NCV because my arm was cold that day, BUT WHY HAS IT SLOWED DOWN IN EACH TEST OVER ALL THREE TESTS! Thats what I am worried about. So I am taking all these results to another neuro to get some outside answers to see why they are slowing down. Have any of you had the "borderline prolonged distal latencies diffusely" on your NCV/EMG report? Please let me know if any of you know what this means. Thanks!

I don't know exactly what my NCV said, but the last one still showed slowed conduction on the ulnar nerve even 10 months after it was operated on. Whether that was slower than the first I don't know.I think the upshot of that is that nerves don't always heal, but that if you do nothing the situation will worsen anyway, so presumably had I not had the operation it would be even worse than it is now.
