Commonality of Pre-Twitching Symptoms?

I read another post and there seems to be a lot of us who had other symptoms (pin *beep* sensations, pins and needles, etc.) prior to the onset of twitching. Also, a lot of us seem to have other health scares prior to the onset of twitching. I'm wondering how common this is. About six weeks before my twitching, I had pin *beep* sensations all over my body and feared MS. That went away after three weeks and then I started twitching. Thoughts?

Funny you mention that… prior to my twitching I actually had the same fear as you – MS. My eye was hurting for a while and was told that it was a migraine. I also had the burning tongue sensation (mouth, lips and c cheeks as well) and a few weeks later my tongue begun to get spastic and twitchy.

Hello people,Same thing to me. I had a tingling toe, went to Dr. Google, and tcharan!: Spent two weeks heavily stressed that I might had *S.I went to my GP, he said all normal and referred me to a Podologist. She said that my foot was very strange and ordered a sole. On the third week I felt some twitches (very rare ones). I think I was also feeling the buzz/vibration but could not explain him exactly what was.I could not believe them and went to a neuro. He told me everything was perfect, reflex and strenght wise. Told me to go home and relax. He also told me that made a lot of sense: "nervous problems don´t start all around, they are focused on one area". The twitches continued and, of course, Dr. Google again... **S. So here I am, much better of the twitches ( I should twitch less than 100 times a day, some vibration, but no hot spots ), but still afraid as hell of this terrible disease that most of us fear everyday. So, in an a nutshell, disease fears before, probably made worse by disease fears during :) Mich

I had numbness and tingling in my two smallest fingers in left hand. This was consistent with Ulnar neuropathy, which was diagnosed after NCS tests. It was after this that it all went wrong for me. Twitching, pain, the whole spectrum of symptoms now...The worst for me is the rubbery legs and the fact that I wake up every night with really bad "dull ache" in my hips, legs and hands etc.

I woke up on Thanksgiving morning almost 13 years ago with a strange sensation in the front of my left shin. Kind of like it was asleep. It would not go away and my fear was MS. Unfortunately, I was also working at a place called US Healthcare at the time (we processed medical claims for different companies) and I had a vast amount of resources at my disposal. I went to my GP and he ordered a work-up and MRI for MS and within several weeks I was twitching everywhere - so then it was back to the books at work and the rest is history. Once I saw twitching and *** I new I was in trouble and it took over my life. Now I wish I was feeling as good as I was then. StacyDance

Mine started with tremors/virbrations in an arm, it is hard to really explain it when it first started, just knew something was not right, it took 7 months or so for the twitching to start. Three months later I did the internet search, bam, ALS. We have alot of similarities on this site, but the one big difference is some came on slow, and some where hit hard and fast. I wonder if that has any effect on the duration of the syndrome for each individual.
