Is it common for twitches to migrate hot spots? Like for the longest time my one main spot was my lip... now its moved to the inside of my hand by the thumb muscle. Is this common?

While I prefer the Cowboys, we each have one for the thumb so I guess I'll chime in here. 
I've been twitching for a couple years now and I've had the migrating hot spots. I've had one in my hand, both legs, both arms, an elbow, a shoulder and on and on. I've heard it described here many a time.
