Cold Spot on Right Foot

Hi you all,More questions from me...On the top om my "foot blade" (don't know the expression in English) on my right foot I have a "cold spot" with a diameter about 5 cm. It can come and go, but also be constant cold for hours and days.. it feels almost as I am wet on this spot..cold wet.. (like I have had ice cubes on there). It's a wel defined area - I could have taken a pen and draw a circle around it. I have other cold sensations as well - like ice colds rain drops hits me (this has gotten better the last mounths) and like I'm having "freezings" down my legs.. like the hair is suddenly raising - don't know how to explain in English, but it's a bit like the feeling you get when you hear or read something that really touches you, or when you read or see something that touches you emotionally or you get scared (f.eks when reading a very exciting book) but I get it of no reason. Just comes out of the blue..Is this recognizable for some of you?And is it typical BFS that the symtomps get worse after just a small walk...? I have not been able to walk more than about 15 minutes since this all started in January.. if I do so the pain in my legs get so much worse, feels like I've been climbing a mountain (something I used to do...)...when I lie still after a short walk i can feel my deep muscles contract and "vibrate"...) and I feel weak..:(

I have that sudden hair movement without any evident reason for years. It is a sign of excitable nervous system, nothing more really :)

Thank you. yes, excitable nervous system seems definately right..I think the excitable N S somehow explain many BFS-symptoms, but why the nervous system "suddenly" reacts this way is still a mystery to me.. and who can believe that all of this is possible if one havn't felt it oneself...?Its all so wird... No wonder the doctors don't take this seriously..Any others that have experiences with what I wrote in my last post?

I have had sensations of cold spots, wet spots and had goosebumps out of the blue. I would have been happy to be able to walk for 15 minutes...in my bad days I was not able to walk or stand for more than 5 Minutes. The pain in my legs would become incredibly bad , all stiff and tight and my legs all shaky and tremorous.

I am generally so much used to be a 'nervous' person that to be honest, I never thought that it could be unpleasant or strange... But if sensitive NS suddenly comes instead of more or less stable - than it should be really unpleasant...I have spontaneous goose skin, hair rising and even spontaneous quick shivering - like being hit by electrical shock (I do not have the 'bolt' feeling, I just shiver from toe to head, suddenly). When it comes to this symptom, I know for sure I have to take my pills... I can tell only that I have that for lifelong, and this is obviously not dangerous, however it might be unpleasant, of course.I assume that should I have something new - like bugs crawling feeling or hair in the throat (God spare me!), I probably would be as much bored and worried as you are now.As for the pain in your legs, I believe if you would be able to find what the hell caused inflammation and hypersensitivity to yout NS, it would gradually decrease. You had already noted that some symptomes have been going down with the time.

Thank both of you. christinasgirl123: thats bad...i have also days not able to sit, walk or stand..15 min walking is my maksimum for the last 8 mnds .. how long can you walk nowadays? i hope you can more. Gracely, I see what you mean. i did not have a excitable NS before I got the very bad stomach infection that changed everything in Jan. after that it all started...extreme pain in my legs, paresthesias and fasciculations and the loss of feeling in fingers/toes/foot at night. the worst things for me is the parethesias, makes me crazy..small bugs moving all the time..not able to wear psnts..:( I do not take any medisin now. have tried so much..only gives me the side effects..have you fond something that helps with the BFSsymptoms? you can send pm if you want.. hugs!

I have experienced a cold spot right next to my mouth off and on since my many symptoms started. I don't think it is anything to worry about. I have heard that sensory symptoms are not ALS related.

As I say everywhere, I prefer natural meds - valeriana root, howthorn and leonuria tinctures mixed equally never missed the goal to make me easier. But this is only regarding anxiety and good sleep. As for the pains, parestesias etc., I know that in almost any neuropathy, no matter of what kind, vitamnes of B group are used as a supplement to resotre neural tissue and repair it as much as possible. Vitamines are not generally meds, but they also could have side effects (mostly allergy and some reaction from GIT) so it would be better maybe to consult with doctor regading dosage, but my own traces of neuropathy usually go away when I am taking B vitamine mix for a week or two.

I can tell U that now, one year and few months later, I can walk and sit as long as I want to, and that I even just started running a few weeks ago (something I never died before in my life) so I am in better shape than before BFS.
