Howdy Jenn,

I don 't mind you asking at all. I am 31, and I have three kids. My twitching started six months after the birth of my second child, and when I got pregnant with my third I had no symptoms of BFS. I am also going to have another baby in May, and so far I have been experiencing a reprieve from my twitching and other symptoms as well. I'll twitch occasionally, but nothing like before I was pregnant. But it comes and goes...who is to say if it is related or not.

I have read that many people who suffer from auto-immune disorders do go into a sort of remission when they are pregnant. I guess the body slows down the immune system so it won't attack the fetus. Come to think of it, I do tend to get more colds and such when I am pregnant....but then again I am not a good sample because I am a teacher and have been teaching through all three other pregnancies. So basically....my advice would be: If you want kids, have kids and don't worry about the twitching. They are a joy and will bring something to your life that you never realized you were missing.

I am sorry to hear that you lost a baby to toxemia. I hope your future pregnancies will go more smoothly!

Jen ;)
