Chronic Pain with Twitching Condition

Hey,I'm a 11 months twitcher. Twitches have become bearable and I hardly hink about them. But now pain is my worst symptom, it's ruining my life. I have a lot of muscle pains, in neck, knee, ankles, calves and so on.My main fear is that the pain does not waxe and wane as it used to. Now the pain is each month a little worse. I have some relapses sometimes but only for 2-3 days and then pain is back !I see sometimes on this board people saying they almost don't have fascics anymore and feeled as cured. But has anybody been cured from pain and exercise intolerance ? Will it only be getting worse all my life long? Thanks for your support

Yes Stephane. I have been cured from my pain and many others here too. I just talked to another twitcher on phone with intense pain and exercise intolerance, that recently underwent a fibromyalgia treatment (same as me) for calming down the nerve system, and it also worked for him. I know it sounds odd, why should stress cause pain? But it does. This pain and exercise intolerance is the physical manifestation of a nerve system going crazy. If yu feel that the pain is very bad and you have lots of symtoms in spite of the fact that you stopped being anxious, search for a doctor that uses multi modal therapy for fibromyalgia and CFS. This doctor-unlike neurologists-sees BFS as a somatisation disorder just like IBS and others. This means not making up symptoms and having them *"in your head*, but it means that psychological factors will cause REAL symtoms. If you ever felt nauseated before an exam or had to run to the toilet before some event you were nervous about, you already know how severe and real symptoms like that can be. Only that for some, the body just cannot return to "normal".

Hi Stephane, Pain is the current “stage” of my BFS and it is worse than the twitching, as you noticed. Nowadays knees and back are bothering me, but it was much worse last year. Every month I was on the orthopedic clinic with a different complain. All my BFS symptoms, pain included, started very intense and later eased to something more bearable. Your pain will get worse all life long. Physiotherapy and stretching can help you a lot to deal with this.
