Chin Twitch for Two Months Now

I have been twitching for nine months now. Started in calves, then hands, then anywhere really, no weakness.
But for the last TWO MONTHS I have had a chin twitch that won't go away. I also get smaller twitches in the corners of my lips, and sometimes a slight buzzing feeling around my mouth. The main thing though is the chin twitch. Right below my bottom lip. It has been two months and getting worse. It comes and goes throughout the day, but it's there most of the day.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks so much!
God Bless.

NoraFL,

My thought on this is that perhaps you are concentrating a lot of muscle tension in your chin and around your mouth. Try and consciously relax that part of your body and see if it goes away.

A lot of us have had twitches in one spot that lasted for months on end. The bottom line is, if you have been twitching in that same spot for that long, and you show no signs of atrophy or wasting and haven't list the ability to speak or use your mouth as you normally would, than it is pretty much safe to say that it is benign.

Some people have described eye lid twitches that lasted for well over a solid year, non stop! So what's 4 or 5 inches down to your mouth? I get lip and chin twitches all of the time as well. Some last for a few seconds, others a few minutes and some have come and goine throughout a long period. Hang in there! Your key thing to remember is that you have been twitching now for 9 months and have no weakness. That's about as good a sign as you can get!
