Chances of You Know What vs Lightning

I've done similar calculations, and agree with these. Just to be clear, these odds are the chances that your current symptoms are caused by you know what, not the overall lifetime odds, which are the same as the general public. I've used the comparison to the odds of getting struck by lightning (1/700,000), just to put it in perspective. In other words Silas, if lightning fear does not keep you awake at night, neither should your twitching (to answer your other post). Assuming that it's not physically keeping you awake by jolting you, which I guess is possible.

Sorry if this scares anyone with lightning fears.

Silas,

At five weeks I was fit to be tied. Honestly, I had totoally lost perspective and was certain I was a total goner. Now, in month 8, I am still twitching but I look back on all of the confusion and fear with greate dread. I wasted months of my life, wasn't engaged in my family, felt far from God, and was absolutely miserable.

Do yourself a favor and realize that you will be fine. Statistics are great but just let go. You are not in control so stay in the present moment and really ENJOY your life. Each day, each moment - be there and, in short order, you will be looking back on this and wondering why you lost even a moment to this craziness which is bfs.
