Ceasing Symptoms During Car Rides?

I mentioned this in another post that I recently responded to. I just wanted to throw out the question to everyone and see what kind of responses I get (if any). I have noticed over the past 9 months that I have had this stuff that my symptoms cease or nearly cease during car rides. I know it sounds crazy but they do and I will actually focus on my body while in the car to see if they return or get worse and they don't. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the vibrations of the car and if so would probably defintely suggest muscle related issues...right? I drive a 4-runner so the ride isn't very smooth...not sure how well I would do in a different vehicle....My symptoms also cease or nearly cease during movement....however, this can be exhausting because I can't constantly be moving. Thoughts or comments anyone?

I experience the twitching too but mostly the internal vibrations/shaking feelings. I do not notice them while I am driving either. The sensations I feel are subtle and with any movement (walking/driving, etc) I don't notice them.I mostly feel mine when I am lying in bed at night or in the mornings or just sitting still. Also, and this is strange, when I am in bed I feel the internal shaking much more so when I have the covers over my legs. So when there is something (like a blanket) putting pressure on my legs I can really feel. If I remove the covers the feeling is reduced. Weird, huh?CDC

I too, feel the twitching much less when I'm riding in a car...it's like we need to keep our nerves moving or something.MB

Yep, i don't have much twitching when riding in the car either. Mine is most noticeable when I am sitting still at the computer or sitting on the sofa watching TV. As long as I am moving I am fine.Linda

Count me in on this one. In fact, my neuro asked if I ever have a moment inwhich I do not twitch. My response- riding in the car or while I'm in the shower.

It’s amazing. My calves are twitching 24/7. The only time they stop is when I’m ridding in a car for a wile. Look like other people have the same experience. How can it be explained? If somebody going to see a specialist ask about it.

I think we still might twitch it is just that we do not notice them because of the vibrations of the car and we are concentrating on the road!
