Can I Rule Out ALS?

raideryparkeryranger,Your post could have been written by me, except I just turned 38. I too have been twitching for 14 months. At my last neuro visit, I asked again about als again. I got that annoyed puzzled look that I have gotten before because I always bring it up even after being told it is not a likely possibility. I asked what is the best reason what I have is not als. He said, the length of time I have been twitching without weakness. I will say as I have many times before (which some don't like) that continuous sudden onset twitching is not normal and does not mean nothing is going on but it isn't als. If you are really twitching constantly all over there may also be something going on with you but not als. Just the fact that something may be happening is worth acknowledging but it is just something to cope with. Everyone has something they have to cope with in life that they would rather not deal with. If this is what my problem is, I actually feel fairly fortunate since there are things they help (for me, Klonopin) and it does not stop me from doing anything.Krackersones
