Hi Amy!

Do you get these cramps in your calves when resting, mine are so painful when I get them at night I have to get up and take a walk.

Thanks for your reply

Hi
Don't worry, cramps are very common in BFS=BCFS
(B-cramp-f-s) I have had cramps that leave me feeling bruised when i get out of bed. This does not happen offten and i'm sure your cramps will die down soon.

Take Care.

Thanks Chris!

I have been so stressed about the cramps the last couple of nights!! Along with the twitches I am a bit worried. But I do feel fine, I have no weakness and I am coming up to the 3 month mark!!

I do appreciated your reply!

(made a mistake and googled cramps didnt I!!! Big mistake)

Kind regards
Sandra

Sandra,
It sounds like you have the cramp variant kind of BFS. That means twitching and cramping of the muscles as well as a weak sensation in those muscles as well. Cramping at night can occur with BFS and it can also be due to electrolyte imbalances due to dehydration or a depletion of Ca++, Mg+ and K+ in your system. So, you need to drink some orange juice or eat some peanut butter or a banana. Or you can have a peanut butter and banana sandwich and wash it down with orange juice ;) Another way to calm the cramps is to drink some tonic water. You can throw in some gin if need be:) Seriously though drink 3oz of tonic water (that contains quinine - not all tonic water does) three times a day. It should help with the worst of the "charley horse nightime cramps".

Hello Kit!

Thanks so much for your reply!

I will get some tonic water today and give it a try! I also have some orange juice so I will be drinking that as well!

I have been so upset by this new symptom I just didnt know what to do!
I had another cramp last night and I straigtened my leg and pointed my toes up and it went away.

Warm regards
Sandra
