I have to say first and foremost this site it fantastic. It has really helped to calm my nerves. I went through a bout of twitching about 10 years ago while I was in college. It started when I was really stressed out about finals. I saw my GP who gave me a quick neuro exam and told me to quit worrying about them, they would go away. He was right within a couple of months they seemed to disappear. Over the years I'm sure I've had a little twitching here and there but nothing severe enough to trigger my anxiety. Now, I went through a very stressful period right before Christmas last year and have been twitching from head to toe since. Feet, legs, arms, face, neck, and every now and then even my tongue. I seem to have good days and bad and when it calms down it seems that the twitches settle in to a lesser extent into my thighs, calves and feet. I went in for my annual check up and mentioned the twitching again to my doc and he simply asked, "are you weak?", to which I of course replied, "no", so he said quit worrying about it, you probably need to relax and get some more sleep. I know he's probably right and I need to follow his advice but what do you guys think? Is this classic BFS? I was never really diagnosed, just told not to worry about it.... I think I fit the classic description, I work in the healthcare field and am very very anxious about my health, and I also spend too much time reading all the ridiculous stuff one can find on the net. Any thoughts you guys could give me would be much appreciated. I think I just need to get past the twitching and quit worrying about them. Thanks!
