Hi Friends,Please talk me down (I thank Gracely in advance because she is always so calm and rational when I come on here).I have been taking iron supplements for a month after the neurologist noted low levels in my blood and a lot of the weird neuro sensations in my legs (vibrating, buzzing, twitching) have calmed down to almost nothing -- which is AWESOME.The only thing that still refuses to go away is the weird unstableness I feel in my foot. Its like when I plant my foot when I walk that it doesn't feel supported. My right arch is lower than my left and I fight my right foot to not pronate when I walk and stand. Oddly enough it doesn't bother me as much when i run - guess the weight distribution is probably one root of the problem and I am light on my feet while running. I do notice that as my arch continues to lower my right knee is also turning in a bit and causing leg/knee pain as well.I saw a podiatrist this morning who made me stand on my tippy toes and walk, etc. and noted that I do pronate on the foot that is bothering me.She is making me wear a band across my foot arch like this: and said that although my arch isn't collapsed that I may have annoyed/streched out the tendon that runs behind your ankle and alongside your arch. She really didn't have many answers and I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if this foot band helps at all.My hypochondriac mind IMMEDIATELY goes back to unexplained muscle weakness in my arch, from my foot/ankle or calf = ALS. Please please help me not go back to my neuro again for a second EMG. I had an EMG back in February in both calves and left arm and all was normal. I saw an ALS specialist in March and he noted no clinical weakness and didn't want to perform an EMG since my one in Feb was normal. My foot feels weak and unsupported and I just feel like I am going to wake up one day with drop foot. I keep telling myself that this is month 3 of feeling this way and i can still stand on my toes, heels, stand on one leg, etc.PLEASE talk me down into reality! Arch/foot issues don't have anything to do with MND right?
