Calf Twitching and Cramping Increase

Hi all,Since end Oct 07 I started twitching 24/7 in my calves (16 months and a week now). But the last weeks the twitches increase. Yesterday my leg was moving at every part at the same time (from my knee to my toe). I always had those minor cramps? Feeling like a knife is being put in the calf. But now the are really cramping. Especially my left leg. It's twitches like crazy and I get real cramps more often. Also the soles of my feeth are twitching like crazy. So, is this still normal? Such an increase after 16 monhts? Real cramps?Or could this mean I'm one of the 'exceptions'. Hope to get some answers here.BRBart

Bart- the 'almost' cramps are common for me now -the severe cramps (where the muscle is completely hard and you can't move it) have subsided quite a bit. Don't go thinking you are exceptional in this respect ;) as the myriad of complaints here mimics a home for the aged. Just kidding...kind of. But I guess we are better off complaining to one another here at the forum or our friends and family would start using ear plugs. Remember that this syndrome fluctuates a lot, moves about, and keeps changing through time. I have noticed a gradual improvement for myself and have hope for us all that it is a healing process that will continue.Think about if you've changed your physical work/exercise or diet. Not that you can track it exactly - but I certainly notice an increase in lower body problems when I have to sit a lot at my computer working for long hours, and also if my eating/drinking habits go off to the less healthy side. Since our bodies seem to be programmed to show stress through our nerves rather than another way, it makes sense that symptoms will increase from time to time.
