I havent posted in a while, but i need to get this off my chest to people who understand!! For the last month, i have been experiencing irratating twitches below my eyebrow of my left eye socket. It almost looks like im winking every 30 seconds- 5 minutes. Im a college student and it is so distracting in class or studying. even in social situations. i have a history of anxiety and depression, im not sure if this relates. but if it wasnt the eye, it would be the thigh, arm, back nor inner ear. since i was 13 i've experienced this. i hate the twitches that last for months. cant they change it up a bit!!! i'd rather have a new twitch every day than the same *beep* one! how can i cope??

Kylie,

I get twitches like that from time to time. I formerly had my left eye area twitch for weeks semi-constantly. In my case it seems that my eye twitches are more frequent when I have increased stress. In time I think your twitch will move on and hopefully if you can come to stop worring about it then it will leave quicker. I know its easier said than done. When I get in those situations I try to think about the fact that the twitches themselves are NOT indicitive of a horrible disease but rather simply an annoying bodily function I must deal with. There are so many alternative situations I could be in right now that would be much much worse. Anyway, good luck with your latest hotspot. I hope that it moves on to somewhere else sooner than later. :)

Twitching around the eye is very common, and, dare I say, the classic manifestation of stress. And caffeine. Maybe eyestrain, too.
