Brain Fog and Anxiety Symptoms?

I had a question just out of curiosity if anyone has experienced kind of a brain fog feeling or maybe zoning out feeling I know this may sound silly but I think maybe the anxiety can run away with your thoughts and feelings and didn't know if anyone else might of experienced this at all.

Also I posted a question about tremor a week or so ago and just wondered if anyone had clairified with a qualified neuro ( maybe one who specializes in *ls ) if these have anything to do with BFS and just wondered how many people actually experience tremor or have in the past ? Thank you so much for all your help you guys are great!!

well one thing is for sure, *LS does not affect mental funtioning therefore brain fog cannot be caused by that.

I would say it is anxiety,

Every morning it seems I get up in something of a panic about my condition and that worry for sure does affect my mental funtioning

Umm, well, ALS can be related to dementia in some fraction of cases (perhaps 20-25%?). The good news, of course, is that dementia occurs relatively late in the disease, and it's not "brain fog" or "zoning out"—it's much more noticeable than that.

Well if it were me and dementia I would start fretting about CJD instead, it is far nastier even than *LS

I would have thought, though I am no expert that the comorbidity of dementia and *LS would be more a factor of the age skew of a part of the *LS population and dementia would I am sure never be the primary presentation.

As for me, brain fogs are usually the product of fatigue, anxiety or befuddlement.
