Does anyone know if Zpac/ Azithromycin is on the list of antibiotics that can cause or aggravate BFS? I was reading a post about Cipro, but cannot find anything specific to any other antibiotics. Thanks!

Really hope not, because the lyme doctor have now started me on azitromax pluss two other AB.. Very hard treatment..hardest one can get.. If that doesn't help/i don't tolerate, he sad I have to get intravenous treatment..

Well, I had googled the symptoms and it did come up as muscle twitching for a possible side effect, however I am not sure how many people get that side effect or if it is a rare one so thought I would ask all the experts on here. I had a terrible sinus infection in February and had taken two different courses of it so thought perhaps that made my twitching worse.

Since all anti-biotics damage the helpful gut flora that maintain a healthy digestive system and in turn a healthy immune system, I'm not sure there is such an anti-biotic which cannot negatively affect your health. Candida is a yeast which takes over in the absence of healthy gut flora in the digestive tract and causes all kinds of problems. Anti-biotics only make matters worse. Furthermore probiotics can't take root until the candida is displaced. Major diet changes and supplements are required to reverse the damage. This was one of the leading causes for my BFS and may very well be the case for many others.
