BFS with Ants crawling Sensation

I've had BFS for 5 yrs. Recently I've had the sensation of lots of ants crawling on my back whenever I use my back muscles. It comes and goes. Anyone else?

I have had bug crawling sensations all over my upperbody for two years straight now. They are there 24-7, constantly. I do not know if it is the same bug crawling that everyone else has but mine feel like my hair on my arms are moving but it is fast and non-stop, there is no break in between the next. I mainly have this or notice it when I have long sleeved shirts on...Jenn

Oh yes, I've had these. Ugh. Aren't they dreadful?

Like Jenn, I had it constantly for several months. It did finally go away, and now I'll get the sensation only once in a while.

Recently, I kept feeling like a bug was crawling in and out of my nostril. It made me crazy, not to mention I was constantly picking my nose.

Hope this helps to ease your mind.

Blessings,
Sue

I have had this sensation for 7 years now, every day. And like Jenn says, a long sleeve shirt makes it worse. I also get razor burn feelings all over. I have not been diagnosed with BFS. In fact, I have no diagnosis except that my neuro thinks it may be small fiber neuropathy.

I have the exact same thing! Feeling of bugs crawling/jumping/flying ON my skin, or the hair moves. Contact with fabric/clothes makes it much worse. Sometimes I get convinced I actually have bugs...have just written a post on this. i have it all over my body, but mostly in legs and arms. My doctor also thinks I have small fiber neruopathy. I actually took a termo test once, and I did not get a normal result. The doctor wrote "not typical small fiber neuropathy but maybe a atypial" and I got the dignosis "anesthesia in skin" because I didn't feel cold or warm as I should. I still wonder why they didn't do more testing to find out if it actually is thin fiber neuropathy. For me, all the symptoms fits..also dizzyness, sweathing and other atonomic reactions.I totally recognize the descriptions from people writing about formication..There are a long time since the posts on this tread, I really would like to know if you have gotten any better or have advices for me!! Hugs
