BFS vs PNH: What's the Difference?

Ok, I was doing some searching and I'm sure this has been covered on this board before but what is the difference between BFS and PNH (Perifpheral Nerve Hyperexcitability)? Seems like they have the same symptoms? Can we all have PNH and not BFS? And if some of us do, is it life threatening or is this something we can live with for a long time. Thanks everyone.

PNH is simply medical speak essentially for the same thing. It certainly sounds more important and like it could have more attention paid to it and certainly whenever you give something a really important complicated name it certainly sounds like it could be more life threatenting. Benign Fasiculation syndrome doesn't sound even remotely important at all. Personally I prefer BFS. Says exactly what it is, do you really need to know exactly the physiological mechanism behind why we twitch, because essentially that is what Peripheral Never Hyperexcitability does. I would recommend that you end your searches there. There are some scary articles out there that are not necessarily germaine to this condition however you would like to name it. Rest assured however that they are one in the same.Kit
