BFS Syndrome and Wrist Pain

I am newer to the BFS syndrome. Lately I notice wrist/elbow pain and stiff feeling/soreness in thumb or index finger-constant. Does anyone know if this is typical of BFS or should I be concerned about ALS. So many books talk about it starting in hands or feet. My doctor says my grip is remarkable but he is just general doctor, not neuro.

What does the panel of users think?

Sam,

I don't know anything about you, but I do know that if your doctor isn't worried, then don't you be worried. Of course, we all have situations where we need a return visit for reassurance, but it's been my experience that if you start thinking you have ALS, reading about it, going to ALS websites you are only going to stress yourself out and get yourself into a panic. I know this because most of us on this board have done it!! Seriously, do yourself a favor and don't even go there.

As I have said before, the best support I've gotten has been from this website. I think people at this website are level headed (except for a few, ha ha), caring, and know BFS better than anyone. Fear is an enemy here, don't let it get a grip on you.

Keep in touch with us.

Sue
