Hi,
I am a 38 year old male. I have been twitching for nine months, started in calves, then hands, now mainly left shoulder, chin, and still (but not as much as before) hands (hands on top between thumb and forfinger). No loss of strength. I lift weights and run.
My hands often feel sore and achy, like I would imagine arthritis feels. could this be a BFSsymptom? Anyone?
Thanks so much, and God Bless!
Nick

I had so many aches and pains - mainly in muscles but everywhere including hands. I went through a phase of backache as well

I was tested for rheumatoid SLE and all the other inflammatory arthritis. (As well as Lyme disease, thyroid and other things i can't even remember now.) All were normal. The pain got better after many months although i still feel a bit achy - but really not that bad now. I did post on this site about pains - for me they were the worst symptoms I had - they really made me feel like something serious was wrong with me.

I have seen posts about muscle aches - I don't recall many about hand pains - and I don't know how much this applies to other people. I would be intersted to see what people say in reply to this.

I totally get this also! Along w/ general muscle aches, my hands seem to hurt as well. Just like you said, it feels arthritic... On my emg, they found carpal tunnel in the right hand (they only tested the right side), I am willing to bet I have it in both. The aches seem to come and go. The twitches are (unfortunatelly) always there though!

I get the sore feelings in my hands also. I tend to get kind of clumsy also. My hands feel kind of stiff. I find myself rubbing them and my forearms because it makes them feel a little better. They also have a burning sensation at times. This happens to be one of my hot spots for twitching also.
