BFS: Has It Lessened Over Time?

Has your BFS gone away, or at least lessened? If so, what was the timeframe?

I'm new here, with what I figure is BFS, and after only a matter of months, the shaky & twitchy business is bugging the heck out of me.(Although I'm also grateful it isn't getting any worse!)

I suffered with lots of twitching and fatigue (and of course worry) for about nine months. Then, I recently went into a remission-like period where I've had very little twitching. I've still had a few days where the twitches will hit me pretty hard and consistently...but for the most part, they are way down from where they were nine months ago.

Even if, hopefully, my symptoms subside completely, I plan to stick around this board for a long while to offer support to newcomers. There's nothing better than coming here to get support. I know my first day here was a huge weight off my shoulders. I actually cried because I was so happy to find other people who understood what I was going through in my darkest days. Now I'm happy to pass that support along.

Amy,

I love to hear posts like this. I think to some extent my twitching is better and I just hope it gets to be less and less as time goes on. I'm glad for you!

I developed an eye twitch in February of this year. It twitched off and on all day, every day. I thought it was going to drive me nuts.

On March 8, the day my life changed, I got a serious twitch in my arm that migrated (like everyone else on this forum) to almost every muscle in my body.

Amazingly, on August 17, my eye twitch stopped (knock on wood) and hasn't twitch since. All of my other twitchs have lessened to the point where I barely notice them. When I do get a twitch now, they are short in duration and very light. The only twitching I still notice is just above above knee on the back of my thigh. It more like the creepy crawly feeling as opposed to a twich.

Tomorrow will mark a whole month without an eye twitch. I hope I make it

It took about 4 months for the "shaky" feeling to go away for me. The good new is ...it DID GO AWAY ! I still have twitching but some days are worse that others.

My twitching began about six years ago. June of 2003, I cut out the daily coffee (HUGE SACRIFICE) and started eating a 100% organic raw food diet. For the first time, the twitching was dramatically reduced. I returned to a normal diet cuz my teeth started suffering from so much fruit and my hair started to fall out. The lure of my lovely coffee was too much for me so I started drinking it again...BUT...I gave it up again a few days ago because the twitching became just too annoying and I have enough anxiety problems without amping them up with caffeine.
