BFS: Calves Ripple Look?

I have actually been getting better but recentlt my calves especially the right has been having that ripple look. Similar to video posted by chris_uk on youtube. But they also from time to time have that water ripple look. They are different then the ones I get in other parys of my body. Just looking for some reassurance I guess from people who have been diagnosed with bfs and have this same ripple thing going on. They are not the violent twitches I usually get. These seem more sinister.

Btw exercise seems to temporairly slow them down. But then come back. Never totally disapear but reduced for sure. Best way I can describe is how a muscle looks after it cramps. If uve ever looked you know what I mean.

I wonder if my current staph infection is making them worse? Mrsa was going around my gym.Or the anxiety over having mrsa maybe? At least that was a clear diagnosis...not excited about 10 day bactrim cycle but better then letting it go....here comes the vancomyacin.

Oh also, I get ripply looking twitches all the time... especially in my thighs, hip and hip flexor area... I really don't think you should be thinking into that part too much. I remember you saying something about your doc telling you that ALS twitches look like a ripple, but I wouldn't worry too much about that, muscle twitching can happen all kinds of ways for anyone.... nothin' special about you mister!!! ;)

I've had those rippling ones before Jeff. They seem to come after heavy running for me.MRSA??? That's some nasty stuff. Make sure you take those all those antibiotics to make sure its gone.

I would also add that if the infection isn't COMPLETELY gone after a couple days of stopping your antibiotics, go back... I think thats why it was so hard for me to ever kick mine in the butt, because I never actually got rid of it.P.S. I didn't mean to tell you that you weren't special!!! I was just joking around with you :(

I read somewhere that calf fasciculations tend to look more malignant, not that they are that is just how they look. I also read that calf twitching is almost always benign.

Rippling calves..Randoms everywhere else some staying for ages calves never stop..Yep! its exactly BFS.Now if ye had Muscle weakness ,atrophy all those things then i would get it checked out it could be something.I

I've had all the work ups from a University Hospital and they said it was BFS. It was just a new symptom that kind of freaked me out. Thanks for the reply. Take care.
