Do you think there is any corelation between BFS and weather? Today behind my window is a foggy and rainy day. It is cold and windy. And I think I am having a flare - a lot of twiches nad pains all over my body. I fell a bit down and I have a running nose. Any suggestions please...

Hi Pike,

I think the weather can effect your symptoms and have noticed that myself. Now that it is cold and flu season and the weather is changing, I think many of us are feeling the effects with this condition.

I recently told someone recently that it now feels like my mother-in-law is running my immune system. (I'm sure she would like to) There is now "DRAMA" in every cold or flu that was never there before. MIL has a flare for the dramatic. There's fatigue, tears, exhaustion and tension. I'm not so much into drama myself, having been subjected to so much of it in life as an unwilling participant, but onward we go. ;)

Hope that helps,

Aaaaah remember one thing, in spring and fall there is a great deal of fluctuation in temperatures and allergies are quite high. Even is you do not suffer from allergies per se, anything that causes your immune system to react will create a flare in any autoimmune condition. I see it in my office with my diabetic patients, arthitic patients, FMS and CFID patients and also my IBS, reflux patients etc.

Who knows Ang, maybe you are allergic to your mother-in-law

I think many of us are feeling the ups and downs with this condition during the beginning of cold and flu season. And that may also be true about MIL Kit  She called us up on our anniversary Sat and left a weepy message about our ceiling  (which as you all know happened months ago and is almost fixed). "Happy Anniversary" would have sufficed, really. Nice to see you back Kit!

Hi Kit and Sir_Trouserz,

I have thought about the allergy and flu season as well, but I have to add that I have more symptoms when its cold and rainy. Yes, yes, when the barometer drops the symptoms spike.
