BFS and Essential Tremor: Shared Symptoms

Hi, self-diagnosed with BFS..so very glad to know that there actually is a term for something like what we have! My gp just said "I dunno,,," Anyway, essential tremor is very much on my mom's side and I've just noticed that I have bouts of it in the a.m. (the beginnings) and have had my BFS in both calves for about 2-3 years with it getting significantly worse now in left with cramping and that foot business where the foot will freeze if I point it back toward thigh or rotate it to left, major charlie horses...so my point is, does anyone else have the ET with this as well? Maybe there is a connection...from all that I've been reading (haven't been able to do all because I have kids (am 45 yof) the majority of accompanying afflictions I share too...numbness in hands (but I attribute that to Raynaud's Syndrome, also hereditary), anxiety, multiple strep infections, out of the blue anaphalactic reaction to Penicillin (after having taken it all of my life with no adversity), noticing that twitching is definitely more pronounced on day after having consumed alchohol the night before...but not the exercise thing...that's N/A for me...anyway...glad to know this place is here, and if anyone has some info. for me, many thanks

I have essential tremor in both hands. It started several years ago during another extreme bout of anxiety. I got really freaked out and went to the GP and he didn't even give me a neuro exam, just some bloodwork and sent me out the door with a box of anti-depressants. My mother claims I had this as a child, my dad has it at times . . . it actually went away for a few years and came back when the BFS started up four months ago! Alcohol the night before makes my ET worse as well as the meds . . . I am on Zoloft which makes it worse, and Klonopin, which makes it better then worse once you stop it.
