BFS: An Emotional and Physical Battle

I personally believe that BFS is a condition that results because of our body's inability to deal with the emotional and physical stress that we constantly subject it to. I don't think it is any coincidence that just about everyone on this forum has issues in dealing with stress and are constant worriers. Newcommers constantly think the worst and need constant reassurance that what they have isn't terminal. The old timers who overcome BFS always do so because they accept their reality and no longer stress over it. People in between always notice the correlation between their stress level and the severity of their symptoms. What does all this mean? I choose to look at BFS as a reflection of our state of being, and who we have been up until this point in our lives. Fortunately the present is always TEMPORARY. As time flows forward so do we. Our free will decisions and actions determine where we go from here, and every action is preceeded by a thought. This is where attitude comes in. Attidute is everything. Negative attitudes inspire negative thoughts which lead to negative actions and negative outcomes. Stress, worry, fear all are carried with us into the future, ever prolonging the misery in the present. If you look at your present state of reality as a reflection of who you have let youself become, it makes sense that what you see back in the mirror is entirely up to your and what you decide to do next. Frowning will not return a smile to you. If you want to see a smile, you have to take the first step and take action. A fake smile will give you back a fake smile. You obviously can't turn your attitude around on a dime. You have to baby step your way from a frown to a smile. Look for the silver lining in every situation. Look for the positive opportunity burried in every negative situation. Its either an opportunity to learn, or grow. It could be an example of what not to do or how not to act. Perception becomes reality. Once you train your subconscious mind into always looking for the positve you'll start to reprogram that part of yoruself that lead you down the road that took you to BFS. There are countless self help books that teach numerous techniques to manage stress, change attitudes, relax more, and maintain possitive perspectives. Each of us is different so there is no one size fitsall technique. You have to take the steps and actions that will put you in the drivers seat.Countless studies show that positive attitudes, stress management, and relaxation yields all sorts of benefits. You know from your own experience and from the postings of others that stress correlates to BFS severity. You know that other people just like you have regained normalcy in their lives. So why keep doing what you've done that has lead you to this temporary state of being? Why not try improving your attitude? What's the worst that can happen? You start improving your attitude in life and smiling more in spite of situations that make others frown? That's a quality I admired in people that could do it. Now I am one of those people and its great. There's no reason more can't be that way. Find a whay to reprogram those habbits in your subconscious that always made you frown and see for yourself. Beliefs like, 'I don't want to set myself up for disappointment' are common. Reprogram yourself to smile in the face of adversity. Where you are now is always temporary. Go ahead and dare to smile into that mirror and see what happens.

Thanks guys, I just hope that the message sinks in to some of those in the lost, confused, and/or scared phase. People have SO much power and control over their state of being but they constantly lack confidence in themselves and look for answers in others. Look in the mirror people, you are the one you've been waiting for. You have the power to make the changes necessary to turn your life around. There is a tremendous amount of love and support here, but nobody can do these things for you. It has to come from within. Nobody is saying its easy. I know it took me a while to unlearn what I had previously learned, but it is entirely doable and possible. Nobody has to do it alone, you are in good company. You just need to make up your mind to do it.
