Please, please stop worrying about PD.
I can tell you my mum has parkinsons and what you are describing is nothing like its initial symptoms. Her fingers do not twitch as you described but move as if she is rubbing her thumb and forefinger together this I hear is typical and definetly not a twitch.
Think about this: I twitch often in my fingers exactly as you describe I also get ratchety muscles. I am 14 years older than you and even though due to mum, I guess its possibel I may have a genetic predispositon to developing PD, but these twitches do not make me worry I have PD because I know just how differant my mums symptoms are! I wish you could meet my mum and you would see that your symptoms are nothing like it.
Im sure if it wasnt for observing my mum I would worry just like you because god knows Ive worried about other diseases with a vague association to my symptoms

Sorry to hear about your mum Maisy, Its hard to imagine what she is going through.
I'm still worried, because I read eveyones symptoms can be differnt, especially at my age.
Havent told anyone yet, but I'm working on it!

Basso, I know I should get off this forum and enjoy life while I can and not worry about any symptoms, if until they affect my daily life or casue me pain. But I can't ive tryed. Eveyone on this fourm is the best bunch of people i have ever talked to and I dont want to leave. I'm going to worry all the time anyway, and i would rather not be alone.
