Benefits of the Flu Shot

Mary,
I get a shot every year, no side effects unless you have allergies to the shot's ingredients. You can't get the flu from the shot and it won't cause BFS to worsen, from my experience.

I get the flu shot every year since I had the flu 10 years ago! I was soooo sick 104 fever for 5 days. I never felt that sick in my entire life. I have never had any symptoms from the flu shot.

I did have a tetanus shot last year and right after it my twitches flaired up major. I guess I will never know if it was from the shot or not?

But the flu shot.....no worsening of symptoms, well not for me anyway.

This is my second year with a flu shot. I started getting one after all this started when I got the flu two years ago. I've had no side effects. Upon getting the shot I asked the doctor about side effects. He said side effects are minimal and were on the the sheet he gave me. He said everybody's body works differently and some might get sick. It depends on who talk too to, some of my friends said they didn't feel to well for a few day's. I sometimes wonder about that hepatitis b series of shot's I got while working at a school system myself. I got them a few months before the flu two years ago.
