Anyone..I've noticed that when I first lay down for bed... the twitches start popping here there...like little rain drops. Thump, thump , thump, then as I get settled they go away! Then when morning comes as Im waking up...They dont happen. Then when I start stretching the muscles or if I get up to Potty , thump, thump, thump. Its like I have to "Activate" them.Like this morning- I laid in the bed and I was rubbing my belly and just relaxing and I didnt have anything, but as soooon as I got up and stretched and laid back down...I had a few. Now I sit at the computer I had a few....but now they are gone again. Why is it ? Do they settle in? or what? its confusing.

I have no explanation for the pattern of the twitches, but I am the same way. For example, when I first sit down to watch TV at nite, I will feel the twitches. The longer I sit though, the less I twitch. If I doze off on the sofa, when I first wake up...no twitches. It is the same for me in the morning. When I first awake no twitches. Sometimed I lie in bed in the morning and watch the news and enjoy the calm. Today, so far is a good day for me too. Few twitches so far. You just never know. Btw, does anyone get twitches while actively moving? Mine are always at rest. I can go shopping and run errands and the only time I twitch is when I am sitting quietly driving the car...and then they are usually in my thigh. Another odd thing...when I am out with friends or at dinner with my hubby, I seldom twitch. We are going on vacation April 8th and I am interested to see how much I twitch while gone. I am not saying it is a mental thing, but I do think it is effected by the relaxation of the mind.LInda

I dont get them when I am in motion. Ever. Even if its just my legs moving..My arms dont get anything- *meaning if Im driving a stick shift or whatever*. I think we are just a little more in tune w/ our twitching bc of maybe anxiety. Like today I feel weird, its like "where are my twitches", but they can STAY AWAY for all I care! lol I am going to buy groceries in a few.Im sure when I get back they will be at random again..maybe not! Only God Knows! ;)

Hi Lovely,Well, Steve Paul did a very good job of describing the symptoms of BFS/BCFS/PNH at . One of the issues addressed is some lack of pattern is regards to twitching. Here is an excerpt from the website:"The Muscle Twitches.Usually the first symptom to be observed. They can be variable in terms of size, type and duration and also migratory, habitually moving from site to site. Therefore, they are not limited to any specific area of the body so they can be experienced anywhere from head to toe, nor do they follow any particular pattern"He does go on to say that although they often don't follow a regular pattern, often the twitching is more noticeable while at rest. I also find that certain kinds of movements can trigger twitching sometimes, even something as simple as opening a door can do that.So anyway, that's what's known about that issue. Hope that helps to answer your question a little bit.
