woke up to no responses, worried now. its so hard to beleive one is going to be alright. i can only hope it gets better. the wellbutrin kicked in yesterday and i think if it didnt i would have lost it. im at a total loss. its amazing u wake up one day and your twitching and cramping and your life is totaly flipped up side down.

Yes, flare ups are common. I had a flare up when I started freaking out about this. Increased anxiety will trigger this. Has since become better with my reduced anxiety, I hope it stays this way. There are many people on this board who have flare ups.

i have a strange question when i am holding a remote or coffee cup in my left hand my wrist will give out a little and i can feel it my cup will tilt off to the side abit its like the tendon has a twicth in it that makes it move. i can also feel it in a few fingers. i dont drop it but my left arm feel tired . have you heard of this.

Twitching and cramps is listed as an "infrequent" side effect of the drug you mentioned. God only knows what that means to someone who is already twitching! That drug is also known for causing seizures and if you already have risk factors for seizures the chances go up dramatically. So I would guess it might exacerbate twitching if you are already having that problem.

That drug is also known to cause anxiety. It tends to "rev up" most people more than the straight SSRIs. (It is believed to work indirectly through metabolites created by your liver which affect dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake, making more of those chemicals available to your greedy little brain.) Oh, also it does have some effect on serotonin, too.

I would hate to think it would be prescribed for someone with a lot of anxiety without something else to take the edge off, at least at first.

I'm sure your doctor warned you that once in awhile people try to whack themselves on these meds, which is something to be aware of.

And yes, I get back twitches too, and ones in the abdomen, too. I don't think there is a place you can name that people have not reported twitching at some point.

they worked or kicked in yesterday but it is scarey stuff. this is so strange. i hate the little things like the wrist thing i am getting. i can only hope for the best. thanks mendota.

thanks mark its the new hot spots that bother me , my back and stomach are quit bad. stiffness in hands very bad, weird thing is its like most of it came up from legs to top half of body. strange stuff.

Dear Klag,

My hands, stomach and back were, and still are hot spots for me...I have all the same symptoms that you have. I first twitches and crampted 15 or so years ago. Then they just went away....to return 16 months ago. They come and go. But....I am still here. I am going to the mall to do some not needed shopping. I intend to breathe in the air, and have some fattening junk food at the food court. Then I intend to be thankful for being able to do it.

My dear friend, I wish that I could help you with your worry. Please know that I believe that you are well.

Hi Mark,

I too am trying hard to follow my own advice, lol. I have found recently that what the he*ll, I am probably doing more harm to myself with the worry then the twitches are doing to me.

I am working on the no worry thing a lot, and I am going to try to start a movement here!!! Who wants to join in?

I am sure that I will have a relapse with worry, and I hope that someone will remind me that I have adopted this new "no worries" plan, when that happens. For today I am going to whistle a happy tune and go about my day. NO matter how freaking hard it gets, lol!!!!
