7 years ago, April 30, 2004, I had surgery on my back at L5-S1 to remove the herniation on a disc which was pushing on the S1 nerve root.As part of my healing process I started to pay more attention to my body. This is when I noticed I had BFS. Could be related. Maybe. But I am not interested in dwelling on this.So looking back here are some random thoughts.I recently had bronchitis. Flu symptoms make my BFS go crazy. But before that, I didn't notice my symptoms much. I think I noticed them most waking up from sleep. But the rest of the day, pretty much not at all.So I guess I have found a way to live with this. One thing BFS has taught me is patience. Maybe by the 10 year mark I will open up my BFS diary and see some doctors to see if there are any new approaches. New meds. Get an MRI on my back, EMG on my legs. Maybe the tools are more sensitive.I could create a long message on the various things I tried. Or if you are interested. You could do a query on messages under my user id. I tried to post everything I know.Recently I haven't posted much because I haven't been on the board. I haven't been on the board because I don't give that big a shyt about BFS. The day you can say that 'Yeah I got BFS but I really don't give that big a shyt about it'. That seems to me the best cure I have every really seen in all my years of this.Well here is to many more BFS anniversaries. Cheers.-43RichyThe43rd
