Back After 2.5 Years of Twitching

Hey All,I actually do not recognize most of the names around here anymore, and I kind of thought I was done posting except for anniversaries, but I guess I am back.... If you don't know me I have been twitching for about 2.5 years now, and have been given a clean bill of health many times, although I still see a neurologist to follow up about unusual headaches... anyhow...I actually saw the neuro yesterday for my headaches, but we didn't talk about the twitching, because for the most part it doesn't really bother me. But for the past three days (and I didn't mention it yesterday because I thought it would just go away), I have been experiencing a lot of spasms and twitching in my lower right wrist, just below the hand on the pinky side of my arm. It hardly stops, and its starting to worry me a bit :( I haven't noticed any weakness or anything like that, and in fact could still do my work out yesterday that included 10 push up/side-planks... so I guess that is evidence of good strength. But sometimes it feels like it spasms even when it's flexed. I guess I am just looking for a little kick in the pants that this is okay, it will go away and I shouldn't be worried about it... What do you guys think?Megan

Many people here have reported twitching in flexed muscles. Also no neuro has ever asked me if my twitching stops when my muscles are flexed so I do not think that fact is that significant. I would remember that nothing has really changed for you. You know you twitch more than normal but that it is not something that is effecting your strength and over two years later does not even bother you. The fact that a new twitch occurs is just that a new twitch not a new condition. I know reassurance is always helpful when something new happens. I seek it myself. I am sure you will get that reassurance and move on to being just an anniversary poster again soon.

I'll take you on about this one Megan! The thing is is why worry about it, if you were'nt on alert from having this so called bfswould it bother you? I'm sure its just do to some natural cause, exercise, sleeping wrong on it or if your here in the Great White North it could be from shovelling snow.My advice forget about it, go back to hibernation from this site and go see a chiropractor they are great for those type things.Good to see your doing well.Lefty

Hi MeganNice to see you back on the site. Like you I am frequenting the site less these days. I don't see any cause for alarm in your current wrist symptoms - they sound completely benign and are a million miles away from what someone with a more sinsiter or progressive condition would be experiencing.Just chalk it up to another manifestation of BFS and try to ignore it - you ave succeeded in doing this with your other twitches. All the best and good luckRegardsSimon

I had pain and wrist spasms for over three months in myh right arm. I was so upset about them I ended up getting another emg, which was clean. The symptoms eventually went away on their own and now I am onto new things.
