Autoimmune Issues and Neck Problems

as autoimmune issues never come alone i wonder if you have any other autoimmune deseases? i have bfs, vitiligo and pernicious anemia.and i also wonder how many of you have neck problems as there is a theory where trauma in the neck also can trigger autoimmune processes.

I have both neck problems (too much computer use) and other autoimmune problems (Crohn's). It wouldn't surprise me to find a connection to BFS at all. From day one my neuro has said the Crohn's and the BFS are probably the exact same thing.

And I have hashimotos thyroiditis, also autoimmune. I have been hyperthyroid too and that is when my twitching started. Has been almost 2 years for me and here I still am. lolLinda

does anyone of you with autoimmune deseases have several amalgam fillings (has been identified as an important trigger of autoimmune deseases)???

Chez,I have no specific diagnosed autoimmune disease but have had four ANA titres since this started. The first (about two weeks apart) were EXTREMELY high and the second two several weeks and then many months later were both totally negative. So if I had only been tested once or even twice I may not have even known I had an a lot of autoimmune antibodies. Also, I had a raji test twice that showed high levels of immune complexes. This is also associated with autoimmune diseases although not one specifically. So basically just because you have not been diagnosed with an auotimmue disease or even if you had a few negative autoimmune tests does not rule out that your twitching is related to an autoimmune issue. This also doesn't mean you need to have all the tests I've had if you are doing ok. It just means that this stuff comes and goes and is hard to detect because you blood does not always look the same. Autoimmune processes flare and recess etc.Krackersones
