Hey Guys-

Just a quick question. Are eye floaters anything to worry about with this? I have them in both eyes daily. Once I feel I am hurldling the fears, something new crops up. Any ideas or feedback would be great.

Thanks!

ariza_z2021,

Eye floaters are a common complaint for those with adrs to cipro. I mention that because i know that you took it. Check the FQ site, it is very common. In case you lost the link, here it is again.

Take care,
Gary

Peg is absolutely right. I, too, have floaters and have had them for about 20 years. The floaters are exactly what peg described, "junk' floating around the eyes.

Also interesting, are the flashes of light. I just developed them in the past two years. Man......Turning 40 is the PITS! (but then again, i don't want the alternative ;)

I have them too! Actually I've got plenty. 12Drifter12s are on my long list of supporting evidence that my BFS might be related to an on going cronic infection of the PNS. I wonder if my floaters are actually fragments of blood vessels or could they really be "dead germs" that got killed from past antibiotic treatments?

It's very hard to describe them, they vary from blobs to long strings, like your looking at pond water under a microscope. Good news is that I've never seen any of them "moving" other than swishing from side to side like soup as my eye moves.

I've had them for years also. I seem to notice mine more when my allergies and sinuses flare up. More pressure in my head and I notice them more. Also if I look up or at a light colored wall(white or beige) I notice them, or if I am straining.

You are certainly not alone!
